This dystopian film is set in a futuristic version of London. The whole film has been created around the idea of Guy forks. The main character/ idea is “V”. V is a symbol for change within society.

A character that stood out for me was the idea of “V”. V is a perfect example of an antihero who throughout the film fluctuates from heroic gestures to dark and selfish actions. A trait that I found interesting and relatable two was the fact that V was floured and not perfectly sculptured like most heroic characters in these examples.

By using a large well-known setting like Londen to set this future dystopian film it is able to create a familiar place which we all have seen either within movies, postcards, Instagram, and Facebook you name it. By using certain cinema photography techniques the director of “V for Vendetta” was able to create the iconic Big Ben building as a symbolic message to the viewers…… Find out the message. This was definitely an effective method and style to get the directors message across through the vehicle of setting.
